I installed MG and got altogether 3 windows with errors.
This was the first:

megaglest.exe v3.8.0-beta1
Compiled using: VC++: 1600 on: Jun 25 2013 22:32:13 platform: Windows endianess: little
SVN: [Rev: 4514] - using STREFLOP [SSE] - [no-denormals]

======= In MinidumpCallback...

***ERROR details captured:
Crash minidump folder: .
file: 1cd0f145-9118-41ac-b8ed-a577659e06fe.dmp
Succeeded 1

Here the second:
Window Title: Unhandled error

An unhandled error was detected.

A crash dump file has been created in folder:
.
Crash dump filename is: 1cd0f145-9118-41ac-b8ed-a577659e06fe.dmp

And the third and last Window, opening when confirming the second:
Window title: MegaGlest fatal error

Access violation. Illegal read by 1995355495 at 41995115554|Unknown module|Unknown function
 []

And of course I'd like to send you this dump file, BUT for what-ever reason many of the edit functions here don't work with my Firefox 23.0 Beta1 (even without Noscript)...

Please try running from commandline with verbose and paste the result:

Code: [Select]
cd "\program Files (x86)\megaglest"
megaglest.exe --verbose

Thanks

(Only) if you don't know what Softcoder is talking about, read this for more details on how to do it: http://faq.megaglest.org/#Windows_3 ("How can I run the game from a shell / command line and capture the verbose output?").

Thanks, but sadly I guess this output doesn't help much in this case.

Please upload your DMP files to a file hosting site (you cannot upload them here), then post the links to them here.

AncientMind has since deleted his forum account, I assume we will not hear from him again. Tagging [lacks info] and moving to closed bugs.
