Dual screen
« on: 5 October 2013, 20:06:55 »
Hi all, i'm now having two monitors (1920x1080 primary and 1280x1024 secondary), and i'm wondering how to run megaglest properly on this configuration.

Quote
Linux gentoo 3.10.7-gentoo #3 SMP Sun Sep 8 12:40:54 MSK 2013 x86_64 Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-3210 CPU @ 3.20GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Xeon E3-1200 v2/3rd Gen Core processor Graphics Controller (rev 09)
X.Org X Server 1.14.3

Whenever i run in full screen, it somehow either tries to stretch across both screens or clones itself at a resolution acceptable for both screens.
When i try to play in windowed mode, i lack trap cursor, so i cannot do mouse view scroll, to the right at least.

What i'd like to have (and do have on a few other games i accidentally play) is stretch the game on the big screen, trap cursor in it, and optionally untrap from time to time to do stuff on the secondary display, like reading an irc chat or something like that.
Is there some fancy option for that?

You could try playing with true and false combinations with these two settings in your ini. To untrap your mouse at any time press the / key

AutoMaxFullScreen=true
Windowed=false

Ouch: trapping mouse button doesn't work on my system :look:
The "/" button toggles red custom mouse cursor and default cursor, but with red cursor my mouse can still leave the window (looking like a default cursor and leaving red cursor behind near the window border).

Running mg 3.7.1, and using `awesome' as wm, if it helps.

i too would like a little better support for dual screen and window options in general(support for game running in background for exampe so that you can use areo peek for exampe and live tabbing), and fullscreen windowed mode.
