Glest was the name I used to use for my zip files when I first started working in the game because of using opengl and being a strategy game (estrategia in spanish). Now it has no meaning at all, it is just a name we think that sounds good.

woah, i just logged on and saw my name in this topic
its some spanish phrase that goes something like:
ESTratega (game made with?) openGL
the EST in estratiga (strategy) and the GL in open-gl, when reversed is Glest...i dont know how the guys thought to call it that though...

anything
