New player feedback (was: Some bugs)

Hi i want to express my opinion about bugs of the game.

1) When i want to build something, for example towers, the construction is cancelled if some ally unit pass or stay in the surface  where i want to build a building.  This is especially annoying in the midle game, where it plenty of units who are going somewhere.   Or for example i want to build with 3 magicians (Persian) 8 snakes in row ( with SHIFT), to make my defence. This mission is impossible, because the area where i want to build them is usually under attack, and always something will pass nearby.     

2) When i start to build snakes 4 in the row. When first snake complete and magician see enemy they do not build the second snake, they cancel all the construction and attack enemy units... Because snake are always built in the conflict area, the construction of defence is very difficult you should forget everything and see your magicians to not go somewhere.

3) Romans Archer upgrade.   When the temple is built we may upgrade roman archers.  But it not always easy.   If archers near to the other unit (for example upgraded archers etc) there no bottom to do this. You should choose every archer one by one, and make and upgrade.  I think the same problem is with North guys.

4)Similar problem is with workers.  I  move my  army  and add to it  3-5 workers to build something somewhere. When i   finally came to the right location and want something to build  it is not possible to find workers.  Even if it is 6 workers and one archer i should separate them from the fighter and start the construction, and if i am under attack, the problem becomes huge.

5)  HOLD THE POSITION.. For example i want some units(archers) to stay in some location (behind the towers or snakes) and do not move or at least do not go away from the curent position. There is not some option, especialy there are many different units together.  Or when i start the attack i  want my archers to stay in one place destroy building nearby but do not go somehere and die.    For this reason it always difficult to make a defence, all units somewhere going and there in bottom to say them DO NOT GO AWAY or Do Not Move.   Bottom STOP  is working only for 3 seconds. 

6) When there is big, huge army sometimes i want to separate, archers from the infantry but  it is not posible.   For example it could be  instead of 16 picture of defferent units only 2 or 3. The first will show that i have   10  archers  the socond  that i have 3 horses and  the 3 that i have two worker, so it would be easy to separate them

7) When i build the army and have in it many different units, i usualy try to move it somewhere. The problem is that i cannot choose any  formation, for example elephant are first archers are in the second place.

8) Playing with Romans may build Meckaniks . If i build 5, 6, i want them to build something. But to do so, they should have right distance between them.  It is annoying and require many clicks especially if they are 10-15 of them.  I think this can be avoided

9) When i build  one building which produce Gladiator, near to the other building, there is possibility that produced unit cannot go outside and trapped in the building.

10) Shortcuts for worker. When i choose a worker i can build something with it.  But when i want to build many kind of think i have to do many many clicks,  This problem could be solved if i could find easily  a shortcut during the game.  For example magician, where the mouse is on the snake it could show somewhere a shortcut, so i could use it without do many many clicks.

These are technically not bug reports but requests for improvements. Would you like this thread to be moved to the main MegaGlest board for discussion or to the feature requests board?

3), 5), 6) - try double mouse click on one unit and you will choose all nearby units on this type
4) - try "i" button to find an idle worker

2) magician does not build snakes !?

When there is 3-4 snakes in the row, after building first one, they stop if they see enemies.

They also do not build when another ally unit is on surface where snake should be built.

This make the process of building many snakes or towers very difficult

You maybe talk about snake baskets ?

7.) There are not really formations, but you can make groups with ctrl+1 ... 9. Then you can recall them with keys 1 ... 9. This is what I typically do for fighting too.
An example for indian fighting:
On the ground I have 3 groups of firearchers on  the numbers 1,2 and 3 . In the air I have a huge group of thunderbirds. If I attack con and there is a fight, I can kill everything with the thunderbirds until an enemy air unit shows up. If there are for example 5 caroets I give each firearcher group a command to attack one carpet adn I move back my thunderbirds ....
This can easily be managed with a good setup grouping of your army.
