Forsaken project (maybe)
« on: 29 July 2014, 07:36:32 »
Now, I'm sorry to say that i haven't a lot of time to play MegaGlest, but however I sometimes I visit the forum. I see that there are a lot of features requests but there isn't a new version out, yet. Now the project isn't up to grade and I'd like to see some improvements in a new version. For example more tutorials for newbies or more bugs fixes...however if someone visit the website he can see that the latest version is very old(19 January 2014) and he can think that the project is forsaken...So, let's expand this project and good Summer to everybody!!

I Too think, and I will also comment that I think, for me the gaming market in the style of the genre megaglest, is underexplored, currently. The mythological / medieval style RPG is missing games high quality, mostly of graphics and gameplay, and do not know how long it would last, because age of empires has no date for a new release, while it is games good, don't like these currently, apparently so much  popular, dota, warcraft, league, of legends, ..

I doubt a knew release will come soon.

Softcoder is at the moment completely inactive. titi will go on vacation soon.

https://github.com/MegaGlest/megaglest-source/graphs/contributors 37 commits on develop since 23rd March

At the moment I port and improve map editor and g3d viewer. I’m not sure if this is enough for a new version.

If you count the pull requests that aren't yet in the repo, there's another 28 commits.

perhapse a 3.9.3 beta 1 or something for testing all the new commits. it does show the outside community that we are still developing, and gives us the mass testing for all the new independently developed features.
