I saw this in another thread

When you compiled a development version please share it on the forums (stating which revision this is and which system you compiled on), so everybody who would like to help but does not know how to compile can help testing these builds

So I've made a snapshot available.
Built on Debian 8 32-bit  ~0700 UTC 2016.01.01

Compiled using: GNUC: 40902 platform: Linux endianness: little

Thanks for those snapshots and the effort that went into creating and providing them, Andy. I think the original quote may be mine (I can't seem to find it using the forum and wiki search, though). I think this statement made sense when we had no automatically built snapshots, yet, or when those do not work on some system.

So unless the snapshots we create automatically and provide at http://snapshots.megaglest.org cannot be made to work on the target platform (Debian 8 i686, I assume), I do not see an immediate need to provide additional snapshot builds (although you are of course welcome to do so if you still consider it useful).

It is indeed your comment, from 2012 (PS: I found the quote using Google search -- most websites have shoddy weak search systems; when I searched the quote, I got "Search string must be less than %1$d characters long." ).

EDIT: I just noticed that this post also contains that quote. Since it's a sticky, you probably want to update that one.
