Archmage Strategy
« on: 25 January 2016, 21:47:42 »
I've been playing against the AI trying to learn how to play different races. One difficulty I had with magic is that I found it difficult to use archmages. They are fragile, so they require tanks, but their friendly fire reduces the effectiveness of ghost armors that I put in front of them. Do I just need to improve my micro or is their a strategy that I am missing.

Magic using Archmages is the hardest to play faction of all. Yes , to succeed you need to improve your micromanagement a lot. Playing magic a bit more advanced is nothing for beginners.

Hint: a good strategy is to send in cheap units one after another to make enemy stop and shoot with archmages for example.

Try Megaglest! Improved Engine / New factions / New tilesets / New maps / New scenarios

Interested in practicing with me? I'm going to the lobby now, maybe I'll run into you. I like playing either co-op or human vs human.
