MegaGlest team on Folding@home
« on: 1 July 2016, 16:35:47 »
I created a MegaGlest team page for Folding@home

http://fah-web2.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/main.py?qtype=teampage&teamnum=231046

For those not familiar with Folding@home, here is a summary:

Quote
We are scientists. Citizens. Gamers. Thinkers. Parents. Friends. Family. We've joined forces to donate our unused computer power to help uncover the mysteries of protein folding and fight diseases. We are Folders, and this is our home.

The team number for MG is     231046.

I'd gladly do this on my Raspberry Pi 3, since the power consumption is so low, but I don't see an ARM download. :-\

Sadly this V7 software is (at least much of it) closed source + proprietary to a company called Cauldron Development LLC.
For me, personally, this sadly rules out running it.
It also prevents anyone else but those with access to the source code from porting it to other platforms such as any of the ARM platforms.

But you run Windows? Or try to have MegaGlest playable on a closed source + proprietary operating system? I don't understand, but of course it's your personal choice.
