forums in danger
« on: 12 March 2006, 23:08:57 »
this forum may be in danger, as well as any other, recently another forum that i've been participating had some sort of bug, it kept registrating tons and tons of ghost user with usernames such as "744653737" or "d47734tgr7d73737gd76", in fact after this bug, the forum's user number increased from 1789 to 55734457, some existing users were also, let's say, cloned, such as "marc98445838", "marc73577959", "marc4874747374", some others had offensive names on clones. also the forum has been disabled a lot of times because of this, all of them for short periods of time, just some hours, the bug, virus whatever you want to call, left the forum a total mess, users on that forum presumed that it may be some hacker's fault, so someone is propositadly doing this, it's not only some phpBB error.
beware, the next attacked forum may be this one, and i'm worried of what may become of this if it happen...

I've nerver heard of that one, but I think its a hoax.  I know it must be quite an extreme hacker to get at a database...
